Hardware Engineer

Athos is an early stage venture-backed startup developing a game-changing product for the fitness and athletic market. We are creating wearable technology two generations ahead of current market leaders. We combine this with back-end data processing to provide real-time feedback to optimize and improve an athlete’s performance.

The candidate will help define hardware system requirements and carry the design from concept through to manufacturing. The candidate is responsible for designing, prototyping, bring-up, testing, compliance and releasing to production. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and help drive a product without much oversight.

An ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in designing boards for consumer products
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters Preferred)
• Well versed in designing boards integrating RF and analog signals, DSP, Microcontrollers, low power design, LiPo Battery design/charging, and space constrained designs for consumer electronics
• Experience with PCB Layout, Altium experience is a plus
• Extensive understanding of getting designs through required characterizations, compliance, and certification
• Knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes and techniques, test engineering, QA, and reliability.
